Tracey Falemanu Tupou
Tonga

Master of Governance and Public Policy

The University of Queensland

Tracey is passionate about addressing social development issues, such as gender-based violence in Tonga. She worked as a Program Manager for the Australian High Commission in Tonga, where she managed Gender, Governance, and Economic programs and looks forward to continuing her work on gender programs in a leadership capacity when she returns home.

Tracey hopes to use skills learned on-Award and through the Women’s Leadership Initiative to support people from her community and to ensure they are informed of available services. She also plans to revive in active community groups and strengthen relationships between local and other levels of government in order to support community wellbeing and development.
