Teisi is a development specialist with experience working in the Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) space within Papua New Guinea’s (PNG) law and justice sector. Skilled in program management, policy, strategic planning and political research and analysis, she was tasked with the successful mainstreaming of the National GESI Policy with the Department of Justice and Attorney General (DJAG) and within PNG’s law and justice sector. This involved researching, developing, and implementing workplace polices and conducting sensitisation workshops and GESI-related training for staff at all levels of the Department, simultaneously.
Teisi is interested in modelling gender respect through policy design and implementation, impact assessments and monitoring and evaluation, and wants to contribute towards assessing social impacts of state interventions on communities, specifically focusing on accountability and alternatives. She intends to contribute to building the evidence-base necessary for positive development in this area and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Political Science, from the University of PNG.
