Sera is an environmentalist who has been honing her skills in environmental management and policy implementation in the public sector. Asan Environmental Officer for Fiji's Department of Town and Country Planning, Sera saw first-hand the need to adapt archaic development legislation to withstand the impacts of climate change while ensuring developments complied with environmental regulations.
Currently undertaking her Master of Environmental Science at The University of Western Australia with a focus on land rehabilitation, Sera is committed to conservation and advocating for and bridging gaps between traditional landowners and developers. At the same time, Sera hopes to emphasise the critical importance of conservation and ecosystem protection in the Pacific region.
