Save worked as a Human Rights Officer within the Ministry of Justice, where she was responsible for ensuring the Government of Kiribati fulfills its human rights obligations. In this role, she built the capacity of police to understand and respond to human rights abuses, delivered community awareness programs, and contributed to Kiribati’s reporting for the United Nations.
Save is passionate about encouraging marginalised communities, especially women, to participate in Kiribati’s development. She believes that everyone has the right to be a leader, and working with young, passionate women leaders motivates Save to become one, herself.
