Sarah has worked in the dental field for over 20 years, including as Dentist and Founder of Blue Sky Medical and Dental Clinic in the heart of Port Moresby since 2016. Her passion for community oral health and rural outreach has seen her clinic work in collaboration with non-profit organisations including Youth with a Mission and Adventist Medical Missions to conduct medical mission trips around Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Sarah’s decision to undertake her Master of Global Health at Griffith University was prompted by the increase in dental disease and oral cancer in PNG, and a desire to take a primary prevention approach to oral health. She hopes to empower and mentor young dental entrepreneurs to establish their own dental clinics and help reduce PNG’s dental disease burden and contribute to the evidence-base on dental health.
