Nehusita is a registered nurse of nine years, passionate about changing attitudes, lifestyles and behaviours to prevent non-communicable diseases in Tonga. Nehusita was the Assistant Nurse Unit Manager of the Paediatric Ward in Tonga’s main hospital and has mentored and guided new staff and students. Her role also involved staff and resource management, and critical patient management and care.
Nehusita hopes to strengthen her leadership skills in order to influence policies and practices that can support nursing staff working to prevent lifestyle-related disease in Tonga.
