Master of Governance and Public Policy
The University of Queensland
Melaia has more than five years of experience in corporate governance and policy through her work with the Fiji National Provident Fund; Fiji's only compulsory superannuation scheme. She has experience handling customer complaints and bettering processes and mechanisms to create swift resolutions, including during times of natural disaster.
Keen to participate in WLI to learn from women leaders who have mastered their own skills through practice, Melaia’s goal is to contribute to developing policies that strengthen social security protection for workers in the informal sector. She was a recipient of the Fijian Government-supported Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship to complete her Bachelor of Arts at the University of the South Pacific, majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
