Lien has taught in primary and secondary schools across Vanuatu for over two decades and is passionate about collaboration to improve education and community support systems. She has held the role of Assistant Treasurer of the Executive Committee for Penama in Port Vila for the past four years. The only woman on the Committee, Lien supports operations, provides advice, and has been instrumental in the development of a community centre on the Island of Ambae to cater to spiritual needs.
Lien graduated at the top of her class when earning her Bachelor of Education and Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching at The University of the South Pacific. By increasing her readiness to exercise developmental leadership, Lien hopes to challenge gender stereotypes and inspire women to make positive change in their own lives, careers, and communities.
