Joanne is a seasoned finance professional with expertise in financial and change management accounting and reporting within the oil and gas sector. As a Financial Reporting Analyst for Santos, Joanne is responsible for reporting on business-operated asset performance and collaborating with Australian and Papua New Guinean (PNG) finance teams to share timely information. As a Certified Practicing Accountant Member in PNG and Australia, Joanne has also developed and delivered training to successfully support staff members to become CPA-certified. In her previous Accountant role for PricewaterhouseCoopers PNG, Joanne was the lead accountant providing advice and coaching during a two-year secondment in the retail industry.
Focused on data science and machine learning, Joanne is committed to mastering advanced analytical techniques to produce data that drives decision-making processes. She also hopes to encourage more people into careers in data by reshaping perceptions and fostering interest in science. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Computing) from Pacific Adventist University.
