Jean is passionate about the development and leadership of youth in the Solomon Islands. She believes that education and support for youth at a community level will encourage better decision making and decrease the high level of criminal activities, including theft and community disturbance.
She hopes that participation in the Women’s Leadership Initiative will give her the opportunity to hone her leadership skills in preparation for making a positive impact on her return home. Jean believes being a leader does not require recognition, but the ability to step up and make change wherever one finds themselves.
