Della is passionate about environmental planning and impact assessment, having worked at Samoa’s Planning and Urban Management Agency for eight years. In her role, she has seen a steady growth of development projects that in her view lack the connection between community and developer, and has pursued studies so that she can become the link between the two.
Della is positive that her studies in planning and geographical information systems, coupled with skills and networks gained via the Women’s Leadership Initiative, will help her to be a strong yet compassionate professional working to improve environmental and development planning services in Samoa. She looks forward to facilitating the planning process and empowering the community so that they have a stronger voice in decision-making.
