What is WLI LeadershipConnect?
LeadershipConnect is a six-month, tailored program of online leadership learning, networking and support for Australia Awards scholars - of all genders - from the Pacific.
LeadershipConnect brings together a selection of the most popular content, guest speakers and other activities from WLI's prestigious Women's Developmental Leadership Program, allowing male and female Pacific scholars to build their leadership skills, knowledge and networks – all from the comfort and safety of home.
The program was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic–to inspire Pacific scholars to think and talk about the role of leadership, and to support them to connect with each other during these challenging times.
"LeadershipConnect has given me the confidence to consider some of the changes I need to make to become a good leader. It is empowering and refreshing."
LeadershipConnect participants have access to:
Fortnightly online Zoom leadership sessions (2 hours) to learn key leadership skills and concepts and be introduced to some exciting guest speakers.
Fortnightly online "Reflection & Connection" sessions (2 hours) to check in with other participants and share thoughts and ideas on leadership and life.
Access to the WLI Leaders Hub - an online network of WLI participants, alumni and staff, and access to exclusive online events, forums and opportunities.
WLI's dedicated counselling service for additional advice and support as needed.
All WLI Learning & Networking Events to join discussions on key leadership issues in the Pacific, and hear from some of the region's leaders, policymakers and practitioners.
