Ethics and Leadership in the Pacific – 28 May 2018
The Women’s Leadership Initiative’s second Learning & Networking event was held at NSW Parliament House, Sydney on 28 May 2018.
Senator the Hon Concetta Fierravanti-Wells opened the afternoon event and Mr Bal Kama, a PhD scholar at ANU’s College of Law, convened a panel discussion on the theme of governance and ethical leadership.
The diversity and prominence of panel members allowed Australia Awards scholars and other guests to discuss ethics and governance in the Pacific context from a practical, in depth level.
Panel members included:
- Ms Emeline Siale Ilolahia, Civil society leader and founding member, Tonga National Leadership Development Forum
- Mr Ilamisini Geno, Former Chief Ombudsman, Papua New Guinea
- Hon Dr Sharman Stone, Australia’s former Ambassador for Women and Girls
The event was rounded up by informal discussions and networking.
