In Conversation with The Hon. Ali'imalemanu Alofa Tuuau, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Samoa.

This online event explored the issue of women’s leadership and political representation in the Pacific. Kerryn Baker from the ANU Department of Pacific Affairs provided an overview of women’s leadership in the Pacific, including current evidence, challenges, opportunities and pathways; and the role of male leaders in helping to change power dynamics.

Facilitated by DPA's Elise Howard, The Hon. Ali‘imalemanu Alofa Tuuau shared her own leadership story, both leading up to and since her election to the National Legislative Assembly in Samoa in 2016. 

Like all Learning & Networking events, this was open to all Australia Awards scholars from the Pacific.
