Kritika Kumar

Kritika is a perioperative nurse with experience working in high-intensity and fast-paced hospital environments. Previously based in the operating theatre of the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, Kritika was part of Fiji’s Emergency Medical Assistance Team (FEMAT). She hopes her participation in WLI will help her face new challenges, including to manage nursing teams during pandemics and natural crises.

Kritika wants to hone her leadership skills to implement evidence-based practice in Fiji’s health-care sector, which she believes is being hindered by systems that rely on conventional and routine nursing practices. She has earned a Bachelor of Nursing and was awarded a scholarship from the Fijian Government to complete her Advanced Diploma in Nursing.
