Nazia Raza

Nazia has a background in psychology and social work, having worked as a counsellor for the Ministry of Health and Medical Services in Fiji. She has completed training in individual and group psychotherapy and is currently completing her final clinical placement with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District’s Drug and Alcohol Service.

On completion of her studies, Nazia hopes to implement evidence-based counselling services across Fiji. She aims to bring a stronger focus to psychosocial factors, introducing psychological assessments across hospital and community mental health services and collaborating on local research projects. Nazia also plans to share knowledge gained during her studies with other staff through continual professional development sessions.

Dr Judith (Judy) Pickard

Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer
University of Wollongong, NSW

Judy is an experienced clinical psychologist with more than 15 years’ experience working with complex mental health disorders within the public mental health service. She continues to provide clinical and research consultation to the public sector in the development of stepped care pathways for complex mental health presentations.

As a senior lecturer in the post graduate professional and clinical psychology program at the University of Wollongong, Judy is committed to the development of curious, compassionate and resilient clinicians, and improving clinical care. Her research and clinical practice focus on the inter-generational transmission of poor mental health outcomes with high risk families.
