Eunice and Susan

Eunice is a mechanical engineer by training and experience. Before her Masters, Eunice worked for four years as the only Technical Service Communicator in a supervisory role for Hastings Deering (PNG and Solomon Islands), and in leadership roles within the heavy equipment industry for over 10 years.

During her career, Eunice has noticed that not all women engineers are given the same opportunities as their male counterparts. She would like to encourage and support women engineers within PNG to get professional engineer accreditation and not give up on forging careers in this male-dominated industry. She also would like to work with key organisations and individuals in PNG to change the mindsets of women's professional roles and abilities. 

Susan is the WA General Manager for Engineers Australia, which represents over 15,000 members, including more than 35 local groups and committees. She is a highly regarded transport and civil engineer with extensive experience in building business and industry relationships.

In her previous roles, Susan has led and coordinated Jacob Engineering's client relationships with selected and emerging contractors in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, across the mining, energy, power, transport, social infrastructure and defence markets.

In 2018, Susan received a "20 in 20 Years" award as one of WA's prestigious Women In Technology. She also a member of the Terrace Toastmasters, and served as Area Governor for Perth City's Toastmasters.
