Dorothy is in her final year of a Master's degree in Information Technology (IT) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
Prior to taking up her award, Dorothy managed the Client Services portfolio in the Papua New Guinea National Department of Education, providing technical support to head office personnel as well as 22 provincial education office and schools. As part of her role, Dorothy spearheaded the ICT rollout of Flexible Open Distance Education Centres across 22 provinces, ensuring their connection to the National Education Network.
Dorothy was one of the first recipients of the Australia Awards Women's Fellowship Program, undertaking a Graduate Certificate Program in Governance and Public Policy, at QUT.
Upon her return to Papua New Guinea, Dorothy hopes to build networks with other women (and men) leaders in her field, whilst continuing to serve as a positive role model for young women coming up through the ranks of the Department of Education
Rachel Colaso

Rachel has over 23 years' experience over a number of areas of the international education industry including international strategic development, business planning and implementation, marketing, international engagement, policy, workshop facilitation and development, project management, research and aid and development. During her career Rachel has worked with stakeholders across the education sector including schools, VET (both private and TAFE), Universities and governments.
As part of the Leadership team and a Senior Manager at University of Queensland (UQ) International Development, Rachel managed a project portfolio of in excess of 12 million dollars over a number of countries, including UQ's involvement in the Pacific Leadership and Governance Precinct.
In her current role as Head of Study Brisbane, Rachel works in partnership with Brisbane city and Brisbane's education sector to enhance international students' experience, to market Brisbane as a leading student destination, and to provide opportunities for graduating students to retain a connection with the city.
